Macon County Enhanced 9-1-1 uses a state of the art Next Generation (NG) Capable 9-1-1 telephone system.  Integrated into each dispatchers work station, the 9-1-1 phone system uses digital technology, along with a software based phone to deliver a top notch system. The entire system features redundancy of each critical item. Our system features an on site 9-1-1 switch that utilizes two offsite national databases, that deliver information for all types of 911 callers.
